Expeditionary Sea Base Ships - ESB

Expeditionary Sea Base Ships are floating forward bases for use in low-threat environments designed to support multiple missions, such as air mine counter measures (AMCM), counter-piracy operations, maritime security operations, humanitarian aid and disaster-relief missions, and crisis response operations. The Expeditionary Sea Base Ships are operated by US Navy personnel as well as civilian mariners from the Military Sealift Command.
