USS Sumter (LST 1181)

USS SUMTER was the third NEWPORT - class Tank Landing Ship. Decommissioned on September 30, 1993, the SUMTER was transfered to the Taiwanese Navy in 1997. There she was recommissioned as CHUNG PING.
