USS FAIRFAX COUNTY was the 15th NEWPORT - class Tank Landing Ship. Both decommissioned and stricken from the Navy list on August 17, 1994, the FAIRFAX COUNTY was subsequently sold to Australia where she was recommissioned as MANOORA.
