USS MINNEAPOLIS - ST. PAUL was the 21st LOS ANGELES - class attack submarine and the 16th ship in that class built by Electric Boat in Groton, CT. Both decommissioned and stricken from the Navy list, the MINNEAPOLIS - ST. PAUL is presently at the Puget Sound Naval Shipyard, Bremerton, Wash., awaiting to be recycled.

Accidents aboard USS MINNEAPOLIS - ST. PAUL:

December 29, 2006Devonport, EnglandTwo sailors are killed and two are injured when they fall overboard while the MINNEAPOLIS - ST. PAUL is getting underway from the harbor of Devonport, England. All four were recovered from the water by fellow crewmembers and British authorities and were taken to a local hospital where two of the sailors were pronounced dead. The accident happened after a week-long port visit to the city of Devonport, England.
